Should the need arise, here is our list of links to good learning ideas, websites and videos that can be accessed at home.

The resources to the top of the page are ones used within school.

All children in Years 3-6 have an Accelerated Reader and a MyOn login. Their login can be found in their homework book (and below).


Children can read books at their own individual level through MyOn and take quizzes online to assess their understanding of those books through Accelerated Reader.

Help your young child learn to read, and love to read, with the eBook library, containing over 100 free eBooks. The eBooks have been developed for children aged 3–11, to teach them to read using phonics.

All the eBooks are free to use, but you will need to register or log in on the next page to read your book. Please note, the eBooks are not optimised for mobile phones and are best viewed on a computer, laptop, or tablet.
We use the White Rose scheme in school. Follow the link for online lessons and videos. Each week will link to what we are covering in school.
We use Times Tables Rock Stars and Numbots at Old Mill.

Each child has a login which can be found in the front of their homework book.

It is the same login for both sites.

Times Tables Rock Stars focuses on fluency in times tables and Numbots is all about addition and subtraction. 
Lots of lovely phonics activities here. 

Year group booklets which allow you to work through a unit of writing at home.

Pick and choose what is right for your child. They all include a model text which is also available as a streamed audio recording.

Oak National Academy is an online classroom and resource hub created by teachers.

They are here to support teachers and parents to support their pupils and children. They provide a high-quality plan of video lessons and learning resources. These cover a range of subjects including maths, English, art and languages.

Parents can access all our resources to support home learning.

Every lesson will be free to use for every pupil.

George’s Marvellous Experiments on YouTube is lots of fun with lots of hidden learning included!
The Maths Factor by Carole Vorderman is usually £2 per week. It is now free and includes lots of great resources for all ages!
Numberblocks is a firm favourite with younger pupils! A superb resource for downtime!
Hit the button is a great online resource for building fluency in Maths!
Children (or big children!) can instantly stream an incredible collection of stories. All stories are free to stream on your desktop, laptop, phone or tablet. This is a great resource for when you run out of new books at home!
Calling all David Walliams fans! He will be reading one of his books at 11am every weekday on his website for free. These last around 20 mins and can be listened to anytime of the day, once they have been read at 11am.
Horrible Histories is a fun and disgusting way of learning historical facts!


BBC bitesize- our number 1 recommended online resource for all things history!

National Geographic has lots and lots of superb resources. You will need to register for free to access the materials. 
Cbeebies Art is a great resource for little learners. Why not make a rainbow suncatcher? 
Fun curriculum linked resources to get your children moving while they learn. Another free resource, with activities linked to both KS1 and KS2. If you find yourself with some spare time, you will also find loads of fun activities for your other favourite subjects here.
Yoga, mindfulness and relaxation designed especially for kids ages 3+, used in schools and homes all over the world. Cosmic Kids Yoga is free and encourages children to become stronger, calmer and wiser. A great way to end a busy day!
