GDPR

What is GDPR all about?

On the 25th May 2018, the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) comes into force in all sectors. If you would like to understand what this means, you can find out more at https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/guide-to-the-general-data-protection-regulation-gdpr/

The GDPR applies to ‘personal data’, meaning any information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified. As you know, as a school, we hold lots of data about children and families and this can include names, dates of birth, addresses, email addresses and more.

As such, Old Mill is defined as a ‘data controller’, and we are required to be careful about the way we store, share and keep safe this personal data.  Old Mill Primary School is committed to the highest standards of information security, privacy and transparency.

Using the buttons below, you can access our privacy notices, which give more information about how, why and where we store data in order to function effectively and safely as a school.
